Roughing It

This past weekend we went camping at Natchez Trace State Park. We had such a good time visiting with family and friends. I guess I can't really say that we roughed it, considering we stayed in a very nice RV and ate well (my mom made all kinds of good food like roast, potatoes, carrots, mac-n-cheese and hashbrown casserole).

We fished a lot. Me and Ella must have had the magic touch because we caught about 25 fish (small brim). Ken on the other hand only caught about 7. Some friends we were with also caught 2 catfish. They were nice enough to let Ella reel in one of the catfish. She really wanted to catch one because she likes the whiskers (not so much in real life, she was scared to death of it).

Ella got to ride a horse. She loves riding horses and climbed right up like a pro.

The ride even included a cowgirl hat.

We played badminton...

Roasted hot dogs and made smores...

Watched the sunset...

Played some music...

Flew a kite...

Relaxed...

And fished some more...

We had such a fun weekend. We definitely need to rough it more often.

My Sister's Wedding

I have started going through the pictures from my sister's wedding. I was very nervous to be her "photographer" (I use that term very loosely). Everything turned out just the way Bekah and Will had imagined, I only hope I did it justice with my pictures.

As I work my way through all the pictures I am sure I will have another post with more to share from their special day.

Sara 3 Months Old

I have been trying to get with Natalie for awhile now to take some pictures of Sara. We were finally able to get together last week. Unfortunately, the wind, sun, heat and geese decided to join us. I managed to get a few good shots, but would love to try again sometime soon.

Bekah And Will

I am so excited about this post because my sister is getting married on Saturday and I get to share some of her engagement pictures. Even though we had fun, I learned that I am much more comfortable taking pictures of children. I guess that means I need to practice more. Anyway, here are some of my favorites.

Congratulations Bekah and Will. Can't wait until Saturday.

Say Cheese

After school yesterday Ella wanted to take some pictures of Olivia. We headed outside armed with our cameras in hopes of getting a few good pictures. Olivia was so funny because she kept making all these silly faces and she also started to say cheeeeeese!

I think we might have to get Ella a real camera for Christmas. She really enjoys taking pictures, but I don't have the cord for the little camera she has been using so we can't ever print them off.

And isn't Olivia's dress so cute. She got it for a birthday present and it fits perfect now. I think it will be cute with a denim jacket too! (if cooler weather ever decides to come and stay awhile)
