She Wanted To Do It...

Ken and I have always said that we would let Ella get her ears pierced when she decided that she wanted to. Well that time came this week when Ella asked me if I would take her to the mall to get them pierced. The first day she asked I told her that we would have to make sure it was okay with her dad. The second day she asked we were on our way to the mall, but I didn't have my camera so I told her we would take her on Saturday. She said, "Mom, you don't have to take a picture of everything". I told her I wanted to take pictures so we could remember. She said, "Uh, you can just look at my ears and remember".

So Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to go to the mall. In all honesty I didn't think she would go through with it, but she proved me wrong.

I am glad they did both ears at the same time, or else we might have just gotten one ear pierced.

Afterwards she lovingly reassured me that she will never get her lip pierced. I sure hope not!

Enough Already

We have already had several snow days this year which is kinda unusual for us. The first snow was fun and exciting and we went sledding with a real sled (unlike our cardboard sled last year) and made snowcream and a snowman.

But that was enough snow for us.

We haven't even gotten out in the snow any of the other times. Here are a few pictures from when we actually played in the snow.

Ella loves it and could stay out all day and never get cold.

Olivia does not like the snow or cold at all. She couldn't walk in the snow, but when I moved her to an area that had no snow she said "I walk, yay!".

We looked everywhere for a sled, but could not find one anywhere. Luckily we were able to borrow one from a friend. Ella loved it and we even managed to get Olivia on it a few times. The next time I see a sled I will buy it, even if it's in July!

A New Do

I couldn't take it any longer.

The mullet just isn't something that should be making a comeback and I wasn't about to let Olivia be the poster child for that horrific hairdo.

She was such a big girl. She sat in the chair all by herself eating her sucker and watching Elmo. I am so happy we decided to cut it! It looks 1,000 times better and I think I can still get it into pigtails, which makes me really happy!

Runny Nose

This is what happens when you tell a toddler to get a tissue for their runny nose.

She finally wiped her nose!

But how could I be mad at this face.

New Years

I might be a week late, but Happy New Year anyway.

On New Years Day we always go to Ken's parents house to exchange Christmas gifts. Ella was so happy that she got the American Girl Horse and LOTS of other American Girl things. Since it was right around nap time, Olivia was not that into it, but she got lots of nice things too.

We attempted some pictures of the Grandkids with Nana, this is the best I could get.

A very tired girl, who fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.

Saturday night we went to my parents house to exchange gifts with my family.

Ella loved her new digital camera!

And Olivia was happy to get some Abby things.
