A Surprise

We were supposed to head home from Florida on Friday, but Ken and I had been working on a little last minute surprise. We decided on Thursday that we should take the long way home (slightly out of the way) and spend a night at Pensacola Beach. We had to make a secret trip to Target to buy some sand toys, towels and a bathing suit for me since I didn't bring mine with me. We woke up super early on Friday and loaded the van to "go home". Ella had no clue until we stopped at the hotel and Ken got out to check in. She said, "what are we doing". I told her to look at the GPS picture and tell me what she thought (it had water all around us). She said, "we are at a pool". I said bigger than a pool. Then she figured it out and was so excited! Olivia had never been to the beach before, but was really happy about staying in another hotel, she loves hotels! The hotel had three heated pools, one was a kiddie pool with sprinklers and buckets of water that dumped on you. The Ocean was a little chilly but we all still managed to get it. I am so glad we decided to take this little detour to the beach, it was well worth it!

A not so fun surprise was the birthday gift Ken received from the state of Mississippi on the way home. Yep, he got a speeding ticket on his birthday (March 17). It was the only police car we had seen the whole week and we didn't even see her until she had her lights on behind us. I have no clue where she was hiding!

Meeting Alice

So on our last day at Disney we decided to do a Character Breakfast so that Olivia could finally meet Alice.

We also got to see The Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Mary Poppins!

After breakfast we hopped on the monorail and went back to Epcot, since it had rained the first day we were there.

And we got to see Alice again. Olivia really does love everything Alice In Wonderland!

After spending a few hours at Epcot, we got back on the monorail and went back to Magic Kingdom to ride some of our favorites over and over and over again!

We were really glad that we went back to Magic Kingdom because the Dumbo ride had been closed while they restored it, but they were having a "soft opening" for some of the new section of the park, which included part of the new Dumbo ride! We also got to ride a Goofy roller coaster (I can't remember it's real name).

We had a wonderful time on our trip and it was a little sad leaving the park that night!

Magic Kingdom

We finally made it to the best park of all, Magic Kingdom. It is Ella and Olivia's favorite for sure!

Olivia has a slight obsession with Alice In Wonderland. Notice the Cheshire Cat in her hand as she is hugging White Rabbit. We had just missed Alice.

Ella's favorites were Splash Mountain, Mickey's Philarmagic, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, It's A Small World...well, she liked it all! Same goes for Olivia, but she was especially fond of the Teacups (of course) and It's A Small World. Ken and I both agree that we liked it all too!

Easter 2012

On Good Friday we had a few friends over for breakfast, egg dying and an egg hunt. The kids all had a good time and so did the adults.

On Easter morning we went to church and then came home to take a few pictures in the front yard.

I have really started noticing how grown up Olivia looks. She is starting to look like a little girl and not a baby!

After pictures we went to my parents house to help make a yummy lunch! My mom had knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago and is just now starting to cook again. Oh, how we have all missed her cooking! I can make something the exact same way as her...but it never looks or taste as good as hers!

Ken's mom and dad came over later that night to give Ella and Olivia some Easter goodies. They have really enjoyed all the candy!
